The International Regional Prut Padel Tour arrived for the first time on the Romanian coast, on the occasion of the Constanța Padel Open 2024 tournament. The event took place between June 22-23, 2024 at the Padel Club Constanța in Mamaia and brings together renowned players from national and international padel.
Simone Cecchini, the director of the club in Constanța – an Italian born in Florence who says he really likes Constanța:
“I really like Constanța, I like it, I like it. Florence is ok, it’s where I was born. But I’m happy to come here.”, he says. Simone Cecchini was one of the youngest coaches on the professional tennis circuit.
Constanța Padel Open 2024 is part of the Gold Category of the Prut Padel Tour Circuit and offers the champions of each division 300 points in the PPT ranking, while the other participants will receive decreasing points, from 10 to 10 points.
The PPT ranking is crucial for qualifying for the Masters Prut tournament, which takes place annually in December and designates the best players of the season.
